History[]

In The Proud Family, he guest-starred as himself in the episode "One In A Million" where Penny Proud hired him to take the million dollar half-court shot after she was selected by Wizard Kelly to be the contestant. Penny herself had the choice to try and shoot the ball herself or choose anyone of her choice to do so.

Oscar Proud had originally begged Penny to select him, but Penny chose to try and find an NBA-All Star in hopes of increasing the chances of the shot being made. After trying out sever NBA players including the likes of Vince Carter and Kobe's own teammate at the time Shaq; Kobe arrived and dazzled Penny and the girls with his amazing talents including his kicking abilities which he garnered as a soccer player and even having a conversation with Dijonay Jones in fluent Italian which surprised Penny, LaCienega and Zoey who had no idea she had such an ability. Dijonay then pretended to be shocked herself. Penny ultimately decided to have her father take the shot after Kelly replayed the embarrassing film of Oscar missing a game-winning shot at the State High School Championship game versus Kelly's team; which made her angry and spiteful. Gratefully, against all expectations, Oscar made the shot.
